Since the Ministry of Education, Ghana released the scheduled 2021/2022 academic calendar for the various levels of Ghana’s Education sector, the Aim ICT team has been meeting several times for planning a new scheme of work for the ICT project due and in relation to the GES New Academic Calendar.
Aim Ghana works with students from primary, JHS and some interested SHS and now that JHS are running a semester system as part of the condition for reopening schools as a result of the COVID 19, it has indeed affect our way of working. Per the new academic calendar, JHS will run the first semester from January to June, 2021 while the second semester will start from July till December 7, 2021. Kindergarten and primary schools will however continue with their trimester system.
With the reasons above and from our new scheme of work, primary schools are going to enjoy ICT lessons at the Aim Training Centre from the morning to afternoon at exactly 2:00pm while JHS students enjoy lessons from 2:30pm till closing time in the evening. below are one of the four classes we were able to organized today at the Aim Training Centre.
